Who made my clothes?
Organic cotton clothing for kids and babies is made by Under The Nile - one of the most ethical and respected companies specializing in organic clothing for kids. Under the Nile was founded 20 years ago because of a mom’s mission to find clothing for her babies that would not irritate their skin. That mom is Janice Masoud, trained in fashion design and production
Janice partnered with facility in Egypt that is certified to Global Organic Textile Standards and CPSIA compliant*. Cotton is grown in co-op own organic farms to Bio-dynamic principles. Scraps are cherished and reused making cotton toys.
These products are not only safe for your baby but also one of the most beautiful and ethical.
They sponsor 13 Villages Project , which teaches women in rural villages how to make our fruit and veggie toys. Providing work and income for these women empowers them to transform themselves, their families and their communities.
"Under the Nile is committed to providing the highest quality baby clothes in a sustainable and socially responsible manner, while demonstrating authenticity and transparency in our business practices.
Our philosophy is to enrich the planet and the lives of everyone involved with our business, from “cotton to customer”.
