Our Amber jewelry comes from the Baltic area, prized for the highest quality amber in a world. Amber is not a stone, though it resembles gemstones; it is a resin (not sap) from ancient trees dating millions years ago. Over thousands of years, resin became fossilized. Some pieces encapsulate plants or insects, immortalizing them forever. That’s the part of the magic – connection to millions of years history.
Amber has always been believed a powerful healer throughout history. It is said to help emotional balance, clarity of the mind, protection from negative energy. Great for releasing stress, fears and depression. It aids creativity. You can wear it as jewelry, keep in your pocket or even place under your bed. It has been used for joint pain, arthritic ailments, and teething pain for children. Hippocrates, father of medicine, used amber in his practice, as many scientists after him. Nicolaus Copernicus, who was Polish, had formulas for medicine including Baltic amber.
There are other special qualities of amber. Amber is what is termed a “solar stone”, it feels warm. It has an electromagnetic quality. You can see that by rubbing it and seeing it “pull” tiny pieces of paper tissue. Our body system is believed to resonate with amber. Amber contains a very special ingredient – succinic acid, anti-oxidant that helps fight toxic free radicals and disruptions of the cardiac rhythm. Succinic acid is known to stimulate neural system and increase the immune system. Baltic amber contains 3-8% of succinic acid.
Note: Information above is provided as reference point only, not a claim of particular properties.
Amber is both a Leo and Aquarius birthstone.
Much of Amber jewelry sold is made of fraudulent man-made material. To protect against that our jewelry carries the seal of approval from International Amber Association and a certificate of that shipped with your piece.
