QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Ask a Question
  • What are the pads made of?

The bra pads are made with 100% recycled polyester or 100% Modal (reconstituedted beech tree viscose). The pad does not touch skin and due to difficulty of maintaning the weight and shape of garment - we have not found commercially viable natural alternative.
You can remove it or replace it with your own options.

  • Is the elastic under the bustline latex-free? Regular elastic irritates my skin.

I have forwarded the question to the manufacturer and will update my answer shortly. The ingredients listed on the label itself specify only organic cotton and Spandex, which is NOT latex based. The elastic under the bust is fully covered in the organic cotton so it does not have direct contact with the skin.
That's all that we see from the product itself and I will notify you of the manufacturer's response.

We have heard from the manufacturer - no latex in any of the elastic. Yeahhh!

  • ARe the underbust measurements you have posted referring to actual measurement or bra size? For example, if you measure 29 inches, you would wear a size 32. or if you measure 29 is size small correct? thank you!

Thank you for asking. The measurements shown are the general ones sent to us by the manufacturer and yes these usually refer to garment.
By the way, Buxom Bra we stock only in Large and XL, the other sizes - S, M, L come in the similar cut "Addy".

So, when I pull out the actual bra for Buxom Large it measures unstretched at the underbust band 15" flat, 30" total. When stretched it can go to about 33".
I believe the best way to find out if it is a good fit is to pull out your own bra that fits you well and measure a similar spot and compare. The trick is that different style/ fabric can vary. We are always happy to measure the actual garment - just let us know the style/size you are considering.
