Under the Nile was founded 20 years ago by Janice Masoudin order to find clothing for her babies that would not irritate their skin. She started her own organic cotton baby clothing company that would benefit all children.
It not only uses 100% certified organic Egyptian Cotton, GOTS certified, and CPSIA compliant*- safe for your child. but also makes their products sustainably and ethically. Their factory in Egypt and thier partner farm north of Cairo, uses ethical, sustainable and biodynamic practices.
They created 13 Villages Project that teaches women in rural villages how to make fruit and veggie toys. Providing work and income for these women empowers them to transform themselves and their families.
Under the Nile's philosophy is to enrich the planet and the lives of everyone involved with our business, from “cotton to customer”.
