Children clothing used to be made from simple fibers, soft and healthy. But with new manufacturing (chemical) methods and flame retardant finishes, there is a huge concern about the effect of it on babies' health.
Note - kids skin is thinner than ours, their body weight is tiny, immune system not developed. Adults get rashes from dyes in clothes but it has much stronger effect on a baby.  Buy only organic, tested for safety clothing for children. We, the consumer have the power to demand safety.
